What combo?
I'm running a 496 HO.
I get the better top speed (77-78 mph) with a 27 Mirage Plus tapping on the limiters door at around 5200 rpm.
I also run a 28 Bravo I (carries the weight better when loaded with people), it tops out at (73-74 mph) at around 4800-5000 rpm.
The 27 Mirage Plus (3 blade) seems to give more bow lift and runs real loose while the 28 Bravo I (4 blade) runs more stable.
Hope this helps.

Labbd B1 after stock base line testing would be my best option.

a prop that works REALLY well on older 22's is the Hydromotive QIV.
My brother tried the Bravo 1 and hated it. He liked the hydro a lot... swore by his old 3 blade cleaver but could never find one big enough for his power after he upgraded.
