One of my bravo 1 drives takes a couple of extra seconds to engage in reverse. I switched my props around the other day so that that drive is going into forward for reverse and I have the same problem. It doesn't do it either way I have the props as long as Im putting it in forward. When I'm at the dock it will slams in when I rev it up to maneuver. Any suggestions? Thanks Eric

Check cable adjustment.

Adjustment is correct. Keep in mind it does it only while the prop is trying to spin in reverse it doesn't mater if I have a right or left hand rotation prop on it.

When you give it RPM and it engages does it come back out when you idle back down? NOT touching the shifter.

Could be a broken spring in the clutch assembly. There is 2 of them. Foward and reverse.

you need an uppergear set with clutch,springs and thrust bearings with new correct shims,no other fix

I've seen many Bravo's do this if not adjusted properly. Doesn't matter if you switch props from RH to LH, the outdrive doesn't know what prop is on the shaft.
