Worth putting a nose cone on a 27 fountain with a 502? Will it add any mph?

a shorty lower will probably have better results than merely adding a cone

maybe going to 1 inch , had a friend who went 3 inch and had to put a spacer in to get it back

get it back to what?

How fast is the boat? If you are not over 85 it is a waste. Also -2 will make a 27 a little unstable. I have witnessed this first hand. The guy I know went back to stock length for a much more stable ride.
