I am reassembling a stock 45 with the original cast pistons. I am re ringing and honing. Can anyone please tell me what the max piston/cylinder clearance I can run?
The engine is a stock 330 hp 454 with an inter cooled procharger that only makes 5 psi of boost.

Thanks for the input,
That is just what Island Racing in N Hero said, get forged pistons, bigger rods, balance, Iconel exhaust valves then check tune on dyno.
At least I will only have to do it right the first time!

You are getting good advise then. It will cost more now to do it right now, but it will cost you a lot more later to do it right down the road. Safe, cast pistons, super charger do not belong in the same sentence, because there is not such thing.
