Default Stereo question

Looking at the Sony dsmxs60 head unit. On fleabay for 235 comes with wired remote. My question is if I bought a second wired remote can I wire both into one head unit. Not sure if the regular remote will work from helm with radio in cabin and I want one out by swim platform. Ultimately I may need 2 wired remotes. Never had a head unit with a wired remote so my knowledge here is limited.

Thanks for any responses.

My Sony just uses standard Y's I bought from RS. I had 2 wired remotes, dash and transom. The dash had a display which used a sep wire lead for that feature, but the operations wire controlled by standard phono cable

Mike.....

Which remote? There are two for marine application, one has a display, one does not.

The one without needs only a 3.5mm y. The one with needs a 3.5mm AND a unlink y.

Either way, I have the parts here in the garage....as I should...seeing as how I designed them
