Default Props for 312 formula fastech (help)

312 Formula Fastech Step hull,, 454mag MPI's, after market exhaust, breather and ECU tweeked a little by Tyler Crocket
Bravo drives 1.65
With my Brovo-1 props (labbed) i'm at 71mph 5100-5200rpms
Pretty high slip about 20%

Bravo 1 28p not labbed running 72mph 5200-5300

A guys got a set of Hydromotive 5-blade 30's P-5's or something like that..

Would these be a good fit for me or kill my top end. I assume crusing would probably be better since 5 blade..
Thoughts???

Way to much prop for that boat . I had an 03 312 w 496 ho 425 hp fact
Was 28 bravo 1 s tried 30 but had to be labbed .remember bravos are less p than they say . Those Hydros are true 30 plus five blade

30 5 blades will be WAY too much. You could try adding a little cup to the 28's or labbed 30's. Labbing will only help top end but should give you 2-3 mph at cruise speed AND get close to the non-labbed 28 prop max rpms.

Thanks I like the labbed 30s just wish I could get the slip down from 18-20% to 15% I think it would be a perfect prop then.. May need to send out 28s, only problem their solid hub...

sl,
If the Hydro's are the P5X series, Labbing them can get you into the 5000 rpm area. Where you desire to turn the engines comes into play. Also, depending on the 30 B1 Lab recipe, they may be able to be adjusted as well.
