Came into the harbor, port motor started to pop and lose power, shut it off and came in on one motor at 30 MPH on one motor,
On the lift, no power to the port motor, no low oil buzzer, not volts, not a thing. Checked the circuit breaker and the connector plug, no help. Where do I go from here? Batteries are new with 12 V showing. HELP

does it click when you turn the key? Starter relay bad???? Solenoid??

Check your kill switch--the one that the lanyard is attached to. If that is good double check connection at ignition switch.

Since you're not getting any volt readings when turning the key to "on", I would check the wiring at/to the starter. I've had this happen to race cars before and it was caused by a hot wire chafing and grounding out. Had the exact same symptoms of running rough. I would bet that the hot wire is grounding out on the engine somewhere.

I lost one motor monday and was like Bigwavz said the kill switch gave up hot wired across it and it started right up!

Yup check the kill switch before anything else. Then go from there.

Turns out I lost the 90 amp fusable link on the starter. Can't find the cause, it did not seem burnt blown or blackened. Can only guess its a mechanical failure and it simply broke. I am replacing it with a circuit breaker since I don't know the cause and at least this way, I can reset it and get on plane to get home if it ever happens again.
I got lucky when it failed Sunday, I was on plane and I could get back home still on plane with one motor. 30 mph IS a lot better than idling in at 6 mph. Any guess on cause will be appreciated, and thanks for the input.

anyone know where I can get a new Kill switch? EMI has them on there site but almost $50...... come on!!!

But it poped as soon as I shut the engine hatch after replacement. In my experience with cars and some with boats I have never seen a fuse just get old and fail(is it possible?) I'm willing to bet that you have a hot wire(full 12v)that has rubbed the insulation off and is touching metal(ground)some where. Mine was caused by the silent choice wire, it was being pinched between the hatch motor and oil cooler it finally wore through and poped the fuse. I'd say check all of your wires that either run over metal or could possibly be bounced into some metal all it takes is a quick touch!!
