Does anyone know if you can just drill and tap into the "collector" area of the KE aluminum headers to install an O2 sensor?

I don't have any length to install them in the tailpipe.

Install the sensor as far downsteam as you can.

You should make a 1" alum spacer for between the tailpipe and header. Then at 3 oclock drill and tap the hole for the sensor. I do not believe you can do what you suggest even though there are pads that look like you could cast into the header.
