Default Pet Peeve's while on your boat?

What is your biggest pet peeve while on your boat? Basically, what do passangers do that drive you crazy? This should be an interesting thread to see everyones posts. The list can go on forever, but the few of mine are...........

- I have a strict no smoking rule and it kills me when some people forget and will light up.
- When you're docking and no one asks what can they do to help out. Really! How many times have you been on my boat and you still don't know what to do!!!
- # 1 Pet Peeve is when they bring beer, don't offer to bring the type beer the wife or I like, drink all of their beer and end up drinking ours. We never charge people for gas so at least they can do is bring the beer we like to drink. That just kills me when people do that.

I'd have to agree with not offering to help bit... While my fiance' and I have gotten pretty much everything down in the last 2 years we've owned the boat, it's still nice to get an 'offer' for help from someone if we're pulling up to a dock for gas or beers...

Same goes for cleanup time... putting stuff away, cleaning off the decks, etc... But at the same time, none of my friends or family are as OCD as I am, so I typically end up going back and RE-cleaning something after the fact...

How about when you invite people out and they show up with NOTHING...no drinks (even water) no sunscreen or food

I would say my biggest is the no food/no drinks thing. Then (even though I never ask), not even offering to "pitch in". When it's my kids friends, I expect that, but another family or adult friends...Geez. I guess they assume that since I invited them, it's just an "all inclusive" party for free.

Actually I have just one "guest" that does that. After the 2nd time, we now limit the time their on the boat and what activities we do with them. In fact, the last time we purposely didnt bring food. The husband suggested we eat on the water at a floating restaurant downtown. He offered to buy, so the wife and I ate & drank well that night. Since then, they have declined our offers to go out.

Forgot that one. That one kills me as well. You go home when I decide to take the boat home. Needless to say, those few people that have an issue with that don't go out on our boat much anymore.

Wow, you guys need new friends my only complaint is the same as above, "get me back by 4? NOPE!"

Ok, maybe I have one more...a newbie or novice jumps off to help with ropes and just starts yanking the front in pulling the back out and possibly causing dock rash in front of the fenders. I actually like when people that do not know what they are doing just stay seated. I can dock and tie up all by my self
