Looking for some information on the 27. How many were built with twin small blocks and Bravos? Is it a desirable package? Where is the market for Advantages... West Coast, Havasu, Loto?

Thanks,
Jason

Not sure how many were built but I can tell you its very very few. I think the older 377 scorpions with bravos would be a pretty good package, but plain 350s don't really get you much over a 496 or 525. Advantages are all over, but most are on the west coast and Havasu. Are you looking to buy one or sell one...? I would say you'd have more luck selling one with twin small blocks either midwest or east coast, not too many people running those out west.

I'm looking to sell one. My friend passed away and his wife would like to sell it. The boat ran 90's with fresh power. I just removed the extension boxes from it and now getting dialed in with them removed.
Thanks for the reply.

Ok I'm pretty sure I know what boat you're talking about. It had purple extension boxes or something right? Why did you remove them? I'm curious because I've thought about putting a box on my boat.

I removed them so any perspective buyers would not have any problems with them. There were some issues with the carrier bearings and alignment. After I had them off I could
see that there was to much angle and that was causing the issues. They were on hole #4 and I believe that if I put them on hole#2 it would have eliminated these issues. But since
I was already that far I wasn't going to take that chance. The boat ran great with them I would say with the raised X it might have netted another 4-5mph. I had it out this weekend for the first
time and was quite surprised how the boat handled and ran. I had been in the boat a 100 times but this was the first time I actually drove it.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I would think no matter the area, a 27 with twin SBs would be a nice find. Advantages are pretty much everywhere, but are concentrated on the West coast. They are built at Havi.
