Default C7 Cat Diesels

Anyone here have any experience with 04,05,06 Cat C7 300 HP Diesel? Have a guy wants to trade me a 2005 Freightliner Toter Home with a Cat C7 300 HP Diesel with 146,000 miles Bone stock with a flawless maintence history done at Cat dealer.
I Am a Dodge Dealer so familiar with Cummins, would have no concerns if it was a Cummins but no experience with these yellow motors

Can you turn up these motors up? Will mostly head east(flat and sea level) but will occasionally head west and pull 10,000 plus passes. Only pulling about 16,000 #' trailer

If you're looking to resell the toter I'm in the market.

I have had 3 of them with no issues a 2000 -2001- in freightliners sportchassis and have 1 in my 04 650 they are reliable and run awesome all mine were 300 hp and that's enough for the big pick ups pulling about 14000, the only thing I know is there is a separate waterpump belt hidden behind the serpentine belt that has to be adjusted,

I have a sport chassis with 300 hp Benz and I pull anything no need to turn up
But there are companies out there that can reprogram ECM

I have heard the Benz(Detroit) motors run better.Just when we go to Powell, Havasu ,or Sturgis you have Eisenhower 11,200 feet,Vail pass 10,900, or Trail Ridge 11,400 it has a big effect. Had an American Eagle with a 350(8.3) Cummins and you could go up these passes faster than you could go down
Thanks for the info on the Cats

They might be 300HP but it is like 800 ft/lbs of torque and I would be shocked if you needed anything else... My 08 is a beast and never any problems. I have had some electrical truck problems but nothing engine related except a coolant res float stuck and had to be replaced.
