i have a 97 baja hammer with a 454 carb non mag. boat made it 500 yard the other day and just died. it would fire but not start. so i bypassed the tether to make sure it wasnt that. put it on the hose and it started up and ran fine for about 2 minutes and it stalled and would not start again. cleaned cap and rotor and put new plugs in. still no spark. it has 12 volts at the coil but not at the plug. what could it be?

could be the coil or the module.

I'd also add it could be the hall effect sensor in the distributor.
