Default How easy to go dual hydraulic steering from single?

my 94 sunsation aggressor currently has a single ram hydraulic steering setup that runs to the helm. I am interested in going with duals if it isnt too much of a swap. Is it as easy as buying a second ram and running hoses?

Basically. If you already have full to the helm single ram all you would need to do is get a second ram, mounting hardware, wing plate (if you don't have one that is set up for duals) 2 Tee fittings for the one side and some lines. Not very complicated at all.

Do you have a power steering pump on the engine? Or is the steering helm the actual pump?

I have a power steering pump and the lines all run to the steering wheel. It's not the Brazil valve setup

Looks like a hynautic ram that has been plated.

Is your steering pretty solid now? I think a single ram system is adequate on a boat that size. I had a 24 Superboat, with a single ram, full system and the steering was great.

Looks like the ram alone will run you $675
