That's site 6 in Havasu. A free launch ramp that is pretty tricky for a few reasons -
A) the ramp is short so if you have anything over a 30' boat the trailer tends to fall off the end of the ramp
B) the ramp is pretty steep and VERY slick.
C) All the drunks use it.
D) Many amateurs use it.
Over the years the crowds that gather to watch this have gotten larger and larger. There's two sides of an on-going debate, one side being that there's those that go there just to heckle the boaters and are d!cks and the other side that it's free entertainment and many will help people who are having a lot of difficulty getting their boat out of the water.
I've launched a couple Cigs and other bigger boats from that ramp...It takes some know-how.

I launched there a few years ago. Twenty eight batboat with Sport Chassis with supersingle rear tires. That ramp sucked and so do the supersingle rear tires. Would move about five inches then just spin. Took forever to get out of the ramp but luckily it was before the crowd thing

For those that think that is a steep ramp have never been to a mid west lake like Cumberland. Most mid west lakes when you are backing down when you fist start down you can't see the ramp, just the tops of trees.

The 5-wide ramp at our local marina will attract a few folks with lawn chairs to camp out and watch the action. Usually it is just spouses cussing each other out. My wife and I were the entertainment about 11 years ago when she decided to park the boat damn near in the back of the Tahoe. Those bow stanchions fold over like pretzels when you hit them off-center, wheel cranked hard over, and 3/4 throttle. Gave new meaning to the term "power loading"!!

Havasu is a blast, but that's a good way to drive away anyone from wanting to go. People do realize that it's the tourism that keeps that town alive and them employed
Not to mention that I would loose my mind if I ever was the victim of that. The boat ramp is stressful enough and to add that would be unsafe
