Default 10 meter with factory outboard bracket

Anyone have the hull weight of a standard 10 meter fountain. I just bought a 1986 fountain 10 meter that was rigged from the factory with an outboard bracket and they must not be too common. I will be installing twin 275 Verados and was wondering if anyone has a similar setup or could point me in the direction of some old advertisements.

Thanks, Jason

Wish I could help. But those are rare. You might want to figure out who made the bracket and see if they have any info on where to mount the engines. I would start with the propshaft flush with the bottom of the hull. Hope someone here with first hand experience could chime in here.

Thanks so much for the reply. Fountain made and installed the bracket. As I understand it, they made 12 or 14 hulls like this one or so I've been told. I've built a potter sea craft, and an old Cary and I from experience, this was all factory work.

Is there an archive for fountain boats out there? I am looking for information or photos of the original hull. I can't even find an accurate hull weight on the 10 meter hull.

Thanks again for the reply, jason

If it is a tubular bracket it was most likely made by GIL. They are no longer made. If it is one piece it could be a Stainless Marine unit and they may be able to assist you with set-up.

If its one piece it could be Armstrong also. They are still in business.

Looks like they made 2!!

If that hull weight is anywhere close to correct..... It should absolutely fly with those 275 verados
