I bet that video has popped up on these boards every three months for the last 3 or 4 years.
If it didn't rip your transom off it would break you neck with the whiplash and then as the boat belly flopped it would explode under your feet as your head tried to push its way through your body trying to kiss your ass good by. Blow overs don't happen at 30mph. That's a roll over and they would have no affect.

i run one of those when i race my dragbike... i launch it out of my bunghole when i get scared. lol

I'm having something similar installed in the new boat. It's a little better design. It's made by a company called Acme. The salesman, Wiley, seems very knowledgeable on the subject.

I've seen the video before, and I see an opportunity to improve.

My re-design is going to incorporate bungee and rubberized medical tubing; and only deploys at 60 degree or higher. I'm going to call it the Trebuchet Principal.

What if they had it break away at a set weight?
