I rented a place on the water in Cape Coral Thanksgiving week. I could rent an outboard while I'm there, but I'd rather have my Formula. What do you S. Florida guys think? Is the weather decent that time of year?

Best time of the year. It's not hot.

Weather is usually very nice in November. Join us for an FMO fun run on Saturday 23rd out of Cape Coral / Ft Myers. See our event schedule for the coming season - http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...-schedule.html $ 60 for a boaters membership and the run is free to club members. Must provide proof of insurance and that is all there is to it. Consider leaving the boat there for the winter and do a few more runs if you like. Lots of helpful people in the club and will provide assistance in finding storage etc.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Bob

The FMO thanksgiving run is usually one of the bigger runs. If running your Formula with 30-40 other go fast boats sounds like fun, I'd join FMO and bring it down! It's a great group of people and lots of fun

Here's a challenge and I agree, once you do a winter run down here, you'll either be looking to come every year or to permanently relocate, it's hard to beat the Gulf Coast, let us know if you're coming.
