A friend of mine is looking into a 252BR and was wondering what type of top speed to expect with a big block with either outdrive bravo 1 or bravo 3. These motors should tach around 4,600 and 5,000 RPM correct? Stock prop 23p mirage?

We had a 96 252LS with a 330 hp 7.4. It had a Bravo 3 outdrive. The best speed was 58 MPH GPS

My 97 252 LS with 502 MPI B1 23" Mirage is right around 62-63 on the top end. WOT RPM is with that set up is right at 5k.

Thanks for the info, test drove one that would only do 47mph and the tach was at 5,500 must of had the wrong prop on it.....
