Not sure on compatibility, but aren't the stainless bolts softer/weaker then a regular bolt?

ICDED my bravo bellhousing had SS bolts in it from merc, in fact every bolt in the motor (ext head bolts) are SS bolts, and if your using SSbolts and SSNuts together make sure you use antiseeze if you don't they could guild up....

I also use stainless on any exterior bolt on the motor. Intake and bellhousing are aluminum along with other stuff.

Why not use grade 8 bolts and grease the threads? The gold plating is either cad or zinc and will rust but they are a lot stronger than the stainless bolts.

Are stainless bolts strong enough for a bell housing application?

ARP makes a grade 8 equivalent stainless bolt.

Stainless is plenty strong enough. The studs in the gimbal bell housing are stainless, the bell is aluminum.

I think its more of an issue when submerged in water, like your aluminum drive that has SS studs and nuts. That's were you'll always see the corrosion start

Try this, http://www.totallystainless.com/Catalog.html the company name is totally stainless, get all my stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers from them, they also list them by strength from grade 2/3 to stronger than grade 8, the grade 8 or stronger are ARP bolts and TS bolts and you can buy all items in any amount of the different items you want....
