sometimes it's surprising how fast these cat can run with small engines...

how fast would this big cat be running with stock merc 525?

Read this. I had the same bad thoughts. The math doesn't work out even if the guy gives you the hull for free.

The 388's run 125 plus with 750's

The 388 runs 130 plus with 525 that being said the 40 would probably do 90 with 525

I had no idea the 388 was that efficient and that an old 40 is that much slower wow!

The older 40's need 800hp a side to break 120 mph. Don't know what it would run with the 525's but it wouldn't be fast.

That doesn't seem right being a 38 Donzi ZrComp runs 90+ with 525s.
