Is it just me . But when somethings wrong with my boat I'm all cranky and preoccupied. I mean after the fact , when its back at the lift/marina . The next day , you know the day after all your friends call to see what went wrong and give you quotes like "bummer dude". You get on the phone and it's like "fix it ,fix it now....at all costs" All reasoning goes out the window. after that you mope (mom's term) around the house and sigh alot.

I am the biggest, self proclaimed a$$hole in the WORLD when my boat is broken. Moody, irrational, distracted, don't want to eat, can't sleep...oh, wait a minute.....OH MY GOD....I act just like a woman!

All kidding aside, I'm a jerk when my boat has "down-time".

I'm Exactly the same way! Except not just the Boat...the car the truck the motorcycle ect.....

my wife says I'm a total jerk when one of my toys is broken. irrational is a good word. I have no paitence for anything, especially boat mechanics!! Not the 10%'ers who really work, but the 90%'ers who are slow as piss and can't think for themselves and are lazy as ****!!!

Yep! I get worried it's worse than it seems and start bugging everyone I know for help diagnosing what's wrong. Then it gnaws at me till she's actually fixed. (Luckily, nothing major has broken YET - knock on wood. I'll be a total wreck when it does.)

i've been spending the last year trying to get my girl friend to understand this. if the boat is broken - do not tease the animal. you may get bit.
