Default Rub Rail...where to get it???

So just about every baja that I have ever seen from the late 80's to mid 90's has the same rub rail on it. It is pretty much flat with screws showing down the center and no kind of insert or anything. All plastic/vinyl and black. Mine is in very good shape but I want to change it to white. I have heard from alot of people it will cost me $5-$600 and i am fine with that, if I can find it to buy it.

I can find the metal stuff that comes on fishing boats or rubber, or other plastics with an insert all day long but I can not find a replacement for what came on these boats in white.

Any marine supplier is where you'll get it it's made by a company called Taco Marine. They don't sell direct to public.

I deal direct with a few major suppliers daily, I wonder why none know of this company? I am assuming it is the Rigid vinyl rub rail?

Yes and stainless insert if you want it to protect your rubrail.

Probably because they don't know who supplied for Baja.

Taco makes almost all manuf rubrail. Call them. Be careful who you buy from because they will cut it in 8 foot sticks to ship it. And then not tell you. It will have to be truck freight to get between 12-24 sticks. If you have a bass pro go there and order it in then get the rubrail in a roll from taco or just about anyone on the net. We are set up with the boat builders so get it pretty cheap.if you need help pm me.

I contacted taco and they sent me 2 samples of the rigid rub rail in thought was the exact replacement, the part numbers are v213671 and v213670 . Turns out that neither one of these are a match so I'm back to square one . I wanted to post what I found out before I looked at taco again. I am not sure they were the supplier of factory rub rail for my 1989 sport 280.
So is there any place else I should be looking my project is not big I want to replace the piece that goes across the transom with an exact matching piece

Taco V16-4135BKA30-2 was the stuff I used to replace on my 89 Baja 23'5 force. It's a rigid black. Not postive on the 3rd number as the box is starting to detoriate.
