Can anyone steer me to some weight saving posts/articles such stringers transom etc

easiest way is with a composite panel like Coosa and an epoxy layup. Pending on your choice of density you can drop thirty percent right there. On the laminate side you will be using a 1700 (17oz with mo mat) that alone is a huge savings getting rid of the resin rich mat layer, you'll also shed some pounds by now relying on a laminates properties rather then bulk. Not sure if there are any specific threads on here but ask away theres tons of knowledge here. What are you working on?

1985 Formula 302 sr1 w/ Kaamas. I was thinking of some hole saw speed holes in tall coosa stringers. Maybe a thinner floor(3/4" is like a tank ), leaving out the foam, possibly aluminum heads. Also pushing weight (like batteries) as far back as possible.

yep, it all adds up but be careful theres a balance between handling, weight, and ride quality. Personally i like a heavier boat, i like ride quality over speed. There was a bad azz mid eighties 302 in my area with Kaamas, the boat was named "Ripped" i think. It was very cool, not sure what ever happened to it.
I would think with some creative thinking you could shave a thousand pounds or so but it will take some work. Also keep in mind the current strake length and placement may have been tuned to a certain weight so that might need some reworking as well.

What is your goal? Lighten the load for speed?
Swapping all the lumber out for a composite is gonna get a lot of weight out. Everything is up for reduction, interior, laminate, hardware, etc. Hard to say but its just how creative you want to get. All the lumber and dense foam cores in the seats can weigh a ton, most of that can be replaced with a light counterpart. get rid of unnecessarily heavy stuff first, cockpit/cabin and scantlings, then nickle and dime it.
