Default Underwater LED placement on outboard Skater

What is the best placement for Underwater LEDs on outboard Skater. On the step above running surface or above on the transom. I'm thinking the lower placement beside the drain plug. Is there coring in this area?

You should mount them just a few inches under the water line if possible. The closer to the water line the brighter they will be.

Skate, here is where I put mine. Depends on the size\make you are using on whether they will fit on the lower step. Keep in mind the overhang from the step if mounted lower might block some of the lights. Zero Patience has green ones on his Skater that look nice with the colors of his boat. Mine are the Lumishore SMX150;s ,
Their lights are very bright. Offer many different surface mount models

They are pretty slick there is a indicator on the dash. I could not believe they were hydraulic.

Mine are right at the bottom of the transom. I needed to fill holes there from 2.5 trim indicator cables.

I used 3 of these with 10% off use discount code TWORLD. They really light up the roost good when cruising at night. I mounted the outside ones pretty low and the middle is right below the waterline. http://www.bytortruck.com/product_in...-89124-p-93028

This is where I mounted my outer ones and would do the same on your boat.
