I am going to be installing a new stereo soon, and I thought I was sure of what I wanted. Then I discover the 8" speakers that are just coming out.
I am looking at JL audio, WetSounds and Rockford Fosgate
Lets see those pics and hear the stories and opinions!
Thanks!
Admin... A pole would be great!

8" have been out for a while,,,,,, I ran them as mid bass in my setup so I didn't have to run my subs to high,,,, or 6 1/2's to low.
I would also used the JL 7.7's next time instead of the 6 1/2's
My last boat was all Memphis Audio, ( 4 ) 6.5's ,,,,( 2 ) 8" and ( 2 ) 10" subs and only 800 watts run off ( 2 ) blue top Optimas

not sure I want to see the admin on a pole what does she look like??
I have JL 8.8's in my boat and they are a big step up from the 7.7's I had previously in volume and bass, sound quality is the same.
Wet sounds makes some great stuff also, if you are boating in salt stick with JL or wetsounds if the speakers are going to get salt water on them, if you are in fresh water or the boat never gets wet inside then you have more options.
