Ladies & Gentleman,
Some updates for you regarding the 2014 Port Huron/Sarnia International Powerboat Race, the weekend of Aug 10th.
Many things are coming together rapidly in antipaction of the race this year. First of all I just returned from a City Council meeting in Port Huron. A special resolution was presented for city support, a outline was given, and with unanimous voting support, it was passed. So what does this mean? With our Canadian partners support, we can now say we are fully funded for the event! Thanks to all who are working on this project. Your hard work is appreciated.
Dry Pits - With the anticipation of some "Larger Team's" coming and needing the space we will have a new pit location that we will not have to contend with Dust or Mud and be closer to the crane.
We are going to have events planned starting Friday 2pm. Please try to adjust your calendars accordingly to be in town early.
Lastly, If you know of a team that is not on OSO please let them know about out event. I will be posting a roll call page in the coming weeks so I know what to expect from a logistic perspective.
I want to personally thank all team ahead of time. I know its not an easy task to drive such a long way, but with everyones support we can make this an event to remember 20yrs from now.
As always if there is anything I/We can do for you, please let me know.
Cheers,
Brian K
