Default Starboard K Tab on Formula 357 SR1

So we finally got to take our new to us 1989 Formula 357 SR1 out today. It was an awesome day. Boat ran great, weather was awesome, traffic was light and we had an excellent lunch dock-side at Gators on John's Pass. All was good in my world..........until I got to the high and dry.

The guy running the lift knew I was new to the high and dry and didn't tell me I needed to lift my trim tabs all the way up. Anyway, when he lifted it, he snapped the lower plate in half on the starboard side. Lesson learned...and I'm figuring it will be an expensive lesson. Does anyone know where can I get a replacement lower plate?

Measure your plate 280s should be about 18" long. Look in the swap shop somebody had 280s plates for sale not to long ago.

So I ordered the plate on Wednesday from my local mercruiser dealer. Part came in this morning and I picked it up this afternoon. Brand new part for less than $300 including tax. I like my local dealer.

The upper plates and pins were replaced a few months ago. Hopefully it will come apart easy.
