anyone running a 5 blade with 525 efi?

Yup, But I think the hull and setup is more of a variable than the motor.
I have a 2006 30 Superboat, 525efi, Bravo XR w/ITS. My everyday prop is a 26P maximus, right out of the box. I also run a labbed 28P bravo.
Lightly loaded, I am on the rev limiter (5400) with the bravo, the Maximus only gives me around 5000 RPM.
The bravo top end is several MPH faster, partially dues to the RPM difference.
The Maximus offers better cruise speeds and stays hooked up much better when planing, turning, and rough water.
They say 5 blades are harder on drives.

239 hrs to date, low maintenance. I replaced the headers with Stainless Marine at the beginning of the season. The shop pressure tested the CMI's after he took them off and said that did not leak.

ah, good to hear! Im really considering a boat with the 525 so doing some homework. Some of these threads scare me! One guy mentioned he had the CMI mods/correction done which I just read entails removing that hose that connects the back to the tail and plugging the hole......
