I am buying the 232 Islander that I posted about prior...I was looking in there and wondering where the best place for a cooler would be. Just wondering what you experienced people would have to say or have any advice.
Also, the engine compartment is huge. Has anyone mounted a tote in there to store stuff? If so I was just wondering how and if there would be any down side to that.
Thanks!

Mine came with an Igloo marine that fits nicely under the center of the rear bench, its a little bit of a pain to have to have someone move every time you want something out of it but as I am sure you have already noticed there is not much floor space in these things.

Overall view and close-ups of my bilge setup.

I use the plastic tote to store the cockpit cover. Its bungeed in from the SS loop I added with through-bolts then to the trim ram pump bracket.

The lifejackets are clipped to the steering or throttle cable housings to keep them from sliding into the engine.

I should be going out on steves 232 tonight after work. Ill snap a couple photo's also. The storage area by the engine on the port side looks to be OEM baja thing. I have seen it on other islanders It is justa couple 1/8" thick plastic sheets screwed down with angle alum bracket
As for Steve's cooler..... It just bounces around in the center
