Default What prop for 26ft Regal Leisure Cat? with a 250 EFI Mercury

Just pu the boat Monday, It has a 23 Mirage , 3 blade Boat shows 3200lbs dry , but Im sure from reading other posts its more like 5k. The boat new shows a 225hp. Im not looking for top speed , was thinking a 4 blade? Anyone have one of these boats, or worked on them. 1993 to 1996 where the production years.

I just bought a similar boat. Mine is a 26 bayliner rendezvous 1994 for a party barge. I ran it last weekend for the first time. Because both yours and mine are semi planning hull the prop really wont make much of a difference. I am running a 22 bravo. The older engines like the force engine that were on our boats had small diameter props so either your mirage or a bravo would be an improvement.

A Revolution 4 in the proper pitch is a great option.
We have them for testing if you desire.

Looks like I need to lower the engine, Boat was from Marco and was set high(shallow water) and lower unit is a 20inch, not 25 like the factory. Cant get on plane with 23, tried a 4 blade 19 on thursday still blowing prop out. Found a set-back plate on BoBs Machine Shop, looks like this will do the trick.

Mine was way too high also. Prop would blow out when ever I tried to run full throttle. I lowered the engine 2 inches and runs much better.
