Default Fuel Starvation Help Please

Hi Guys. Only been in the Fountain family for 2 months, and need some advise. 99' 42 Lightning, on main tank stock hp500 port motor runs out of fuel over 3500 rpms, and starts sucking air and stalls. Anything under 3500 its fine. After changing coil, fuel filter, fuel pump, switched to saddle tank, and it runs perfect. Is this a pick up issue in main tank?

Check your float levels (probably secondary) with the boat at the same angle as in the water, idling. It may be too low or the float is sticking not allowing enough fuel.

It could be a vent issue, plugged or collapsing. Or the fuel supply hose could be weak and collapsing in heavy demand.

Yes check fuel line. The plastic liner in my 2005 with stock fuel line collapsed. Ethanol effects?

I Agree check lines coming from main tank and the vent if it works on saddle tank.

If it was the carb it wouldn't matter what tank you were on.
