Default aftermarket mechanical fuel pump

Is there supposed to be a direct swap aftermarket mechanical fuel pump for the Mercruiser serpentine driven fuel pump system? I bought a Holley marine not thinking anything of it, and the arms are clearly different? Am I just supposed to modify the arm? Or is there a different pump to get?

Thanks,.

I know of, and used one, for the v belt setups.

Search including the term airtex and it should show up

Take the bottom half off the Holley and attach it to the stock mercruiser top.

I actually thought about doing that. Is that actually what you're supposed to do?

I've been doing some more searching - is the Mercruiser 454 pump actually a SBC pump? The arms look similar to that of a SBC fuel pump.

Thanks!

Nope, I just replaced both my mechanical fuel pumps on both boats with Airtex. Airtex makes the Merc pump it's just not painted black. Model 60932

so is there any way to get the Holley 110 GPH fuel pump to work or, if you want something other than a stock replacement do you have to go with electric?

Thanks again.

I bought a Carter from Summit Racing for my 350 Mercruiser. It had a different arm, but bolted right on and my engine runs flawlessly. I will be putting it in the water tomorrow, I'll let you know how it runs.

Alright, I didn't know if that was really a solution or not. Sounds good to me.
