What was the A/F ratio on the dyno with your current set-up ? Same carb's right ?

I would put a 6.5 power valve in the primary to help idle quality...reduce the current primary jet by 8-10, assuming you are running same carbs dyno'd with

82 and 88 without powervalves ?

Wholly schit !!!!

Somethings f*d up. That doesn't sound right at all. It's like having jets in the 70's with Powervalves. Do not tune in the boat ! Yet !

Get the list# off the carb and someone will look up what the carb specs where when stock.

If I had to start somewhere, I'd add a 4.5-6.5 PV to the primaries and increase the secondries to around 92's

Do the old dyno sheets have any AF's or EGT's???

Dominators love big jets.

As far as the power valve, and idle quality, I see no relation. The powervalve simply introduces more fuel, into the main well. Whether the power valve is open, or closed, it should not effect idle quality. If the powervalve is ruptured, than yes, it will pull fuel thru the diaphram. Think about it for a second. If a powervalve adds lets say 8 jet sizes, so you plug them and jet up 8 sizes. Would your engine idle any different if you went from 82 jets to 90 jets? The sole purpose for a powervalve is to provide extra enrichment, at high throttle opening/high load.
