Just curious does Mercruiser rate there hp at the flywheel or the prop

I think that originally, mercruiser rated the HP of their motors at the flywheel. Sometime in the last 10 years or so, I think that they switched how they rate their motors and now they are rated as prop shaft HP, which made the HP ratings a little bit lower for their motors, even though they were putting out the same amount of power. There is probably somebody on this board who can confirm this and add more detail than I have.
