I'm just gonna tell you what has worked extremely well for me and my gen iii's for about 40 hrs with no leaks is a very very small bead of copper high temp rtv... I figure if you have two machined surfaces why do you need a gasket? Little different using Stainless Marine manifold than thoose cheesy CMI headers... :-)

dan,if you use a gasget sealer i recomend the right stuff,it is a million times better than rtv.ok maybe not a million but much better.if the serfaces are not flat borowski,s can resurface them, you dont want any exhaust leeks!

I agree it is some killer stuff. Only reason I used the rtv was cause the temp was a "little better".
