I'd appreciate getting some opinions from those of you who are members of the FPC or have attended one of their poker runs. What do you like and dislike about the club ? I checked out their website and have seen some of their videos and it looks good but also alittle pricey.
The list of registered boats Jackie recently posted for the upcoming November Key West poker run show the vast majority are only Cigarettes, MTIs, Nor-techs, Outerlimits, and Skaters, all very high priced boats. If you don't have one of these big buck boats do you feel out of place ? Not too long ago there were alot more Formulas, Fountains, Donzis, and Sonics, now alot fewer if any. It now almost looks like maybe it's become an ultra millionaire's club for boaters.
Thanks for your comments.

Good company and they can really put together a run and a party.
That said it is a Biz and not a charity. So they do cost a bit much for my taste. They def have can't miss runs and the price is fair but if you were to follow them and do a lot of runs. I hope you have deep pockets.
Also I hope your boat stands out cause if not it gets lost lol. I was at the Tampa run and live here. On any given Sunday people will point or take a pic of mine. At that run mine was never looked at twice and was a pebble in the sea.

Also have did not enter with them for that run for what it is worth. Just went to the lunch spot cause my buddies were in the run and it was in my backyard.
For me to do that run with a crew of 5 would have been $700+ before fuel and that's not getting a hotel.

15 boats showed for Tampa. 150 so far for key west. 2 different organizations.
TAMPA was $$$$$.
FPC runs a well organized event. I am more careful on where I spend my money .
Having been sitting on the sidelines for 4 yrs butI am happy to say I am back.
Unfortunately I have not rejoined FPC but its only temporary.
You get what you pay for.

It's not 2 different organizations just 2 different places to run but the same organization taking your money.
I said they have some can't miss runs that are fair price. Outside those events though they are a tough pill to swallow.
Also there was more than 15 boats for Tampa, it is just 15 boats that paid up to FPC.
FPC has their place and knows their **** but for a causal and not pocket bending run (outside the big ones) I will stick to FMO and clubs like them.

Poker Runs America was making phone calls trying to get participants. FPC didn't run that event. Or did I miss something? I agree on cost which is why I pick my runs.
I booked Key West on my own and not making the run. Plan on towing down if the boat is ready that poker run is worth whatever they charge. I am just flying solo until I work out some bugs in my ride. As of yesterday its looking good!

There was a lot of boats for a small run but also a lot like me that choose not to spend close to a $1k for a backyard run.
I do agree they are priced right and more than fair for KW as well as emerald when it is not rained out.
Just have to pick and choose is really all.
