Default AXA's Blinged up 353 Has A New Home!

So... Here's what's happening in case you don't follow the TIBBC thread:

Badmonkey is now the official owner of Chillin The Most!

They say that the best day of a boat owners life is the day they buy and the day they sell their boat...I'm here to say that this may not be the case.

It is sort of bittersweet, I watched as a whole bunch of memories drove down the road this morning.

Here's the best news, I may have ended an 8 1/2 year love affair with my 353, but started a new friendship with a really great guy Chris (Class Act!). He has the same attitude and beliefs about how things should be cared for as I and many of my friends do and I know that Chillin is going to good people.

I hope that he has the same passion and enjoys her as much as I have and wish him the best with his first twin! He got a good one.

For those of you who are wondering, I wasn't planning on selling Chillin and hadn't even advertised it, but Chris came to me and made me a fair and reasonable offer and I couldn't think of a better person to carry on from here!

Chris,

Congratulations, Good Luck and be safe, she will be faithful to you as long as you own her!

Best,
Dave

As mentioned by Dave, "Chillin The Most" is at her new home....

Buying this boat has been a process that words can not express. By far one of the best experiences of my life. Not only being so fortunate to have ownership of it, but most importantly the friendship I've made with Dave (Bling Daddy). "Class Act" ...This man is the true definition of this.

I am proud to be the owner of Chillin and part of the Formula family. I look forward to sharing photos, stories, etc and making new friends within the Formula family....

Dave,

Thanks for everything. I will take great care of her.....

Your friend,

Chris

WOW! The good part of this story is knowing that she's going to a good home and will be cared for with the same amount of passion that you had for her. I can remember being 11 watching the boat that I grew up on, the boat which ignited my passion for being on the water. The first boat I ever captained, now being sold and driving off down the road. That was tough and it wasn't even mine, so I can relate to what you are feeling.

NOW.... does the fun begin? What's next? Or are you going to surprise the same way you did with the sale!!!!

badmonkey... let me be the first to welcome you to the Formula family. Truly a great bunch of people. Where in do you boat primarily, as I see your from Maryland?

Hopefully we'll get the opportunity to meet up at one of the many Formula events help here in the NorthEast next summer. Be sure the check out formulaboatowners.com, another great resource of information into these boats.. Steve who runs the website puts on a great Formula event at the Golden Nugget in AC every July. Also be sure to check out Formula Owners of New Jersey on Facebook. I met Tom, who owns the page, 5 years ago at the 1st Birds on the Bay Formula Rendezvous he had organized and I've been to everyone since. It continues to grow every year and just gets bigger and better. I've had the opportunity to meet some really great people who I boat with on a regular basis now every summer. Alwyas looking to meet new faces, hear some new stories, and check out some great Formulas.

Now comes the hard part. Looking at your new boat all winter long and letting that anticipation for the first warm day of Spring to just continute to build up. Hope you enjoy her as much as Dave has.

Split,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, we are very excited for the warmth to come back. I will certainly look into the Formula sites you mentioned and get myself to the events. Maybe we can get Dave to fly down and join us. Our boating is on the Chesapeake Bay. We are in such a great area. We are 10 minutes from downtown Baltimore Harbor, 20 minutes from Annapolis (Naval Academy..very cool), 20 minutes from Maryland's Eastern Shore...it truly is endless boating.

As winter is coming in, Chillin is in a warm spot for winter. I look forward to spending time going thru everything and getting acclimated to her. It's relationship building time....LOL. I would be lying if a said I haven't already had talks and stroked her belly...lol

The way I see it is I am the luckiest SOB on the planet.... Christmas came early this year at our house...
