Stepped up from a 01 250 psd sd short box crew. to a 03 350 psd sd short box crew. First thing I have to say is wow it seems like this thing has more power than the other!! roughly 4inches taller and actually rides smoother!!! Love the truck except for two little issues that should not be to hard to resolve.

My question is this, the 01 when I started it would really catch and jump to life with some umph!! This one just seems to roll into life no umph no jump just goes. Does that make any sense? It is got the pep and response so should I be worried???

The 03' PSD has a lot more power than the 01' if I am not mistaken. If you check the Ford website they should really be touting this. Redesigned injection system etc.

The reason is twofold; better power to compete w/ GM & Dodge and emissions hence the slower start up; to prevent the initial surge of unburned hydrocarbons a diesel usually has at cold start. Hell all engines have them.



You should be able to pull any monster boat with that thing.

323 miles and it lays down on me!! Pulled a 33 fountain out of the local lake for a buddy on Sunday night and poof halfway up the ramp it just shuts down..

Dealer is saying fuel pressure regulator? Ok did I just purchase a problem? Wannabe do you know what year they changed them?
