Looking at these they claim a 10 lb will hold a 35-40' boat. Always had galv. flukes like the looks of these.Any recommendations?

Mud,sand............fluke. But this be an aluminum 10lb. A 10lb galvanized steel is advertised to hold half the size boat.

DIGGER boat anchors. Check em out @ Cabelas or the Digger web site. I have a "15" and it holds my 29 fountain in the winds and current of the Chesapeake and the cool thing is the way they release. I Guarantee that you will like them.

It probably will with enough chain and scope and not a lot of wind or current.

That 15# Digger looks nice and no chain needed. Don't want a real heavy anchor or a 500 dollar one.

I have a fortress anchor that has always worked well for me. I like the anchor the OP has posted, looks like a fortress but it is aluminum. I wonder if it is the design or the weight that makes the fortress a great anchor?? I would rather have the anchor the OP posted since it is light weight.

I have a Fortress as well... I like that it's very light and it holds well, but I did find last time out that it did not hold my 46" boat and 20 others in strong current. In fact, it wouldn't even hold my boat and 5 other boats in that strong current. It must be because I didn't have any chain on it.
