I am shopping for valve covers for my Gen6 502. Roller Rockers and lightning headers. Has anyone used automotive covers in a marine application. Or can anyone turn me on to a place that has some marine covers.

you can use the factory alum covers(they seal the best with the O-ring seal) by removing the oil deflectors from them and grinding a couple of rockers, to go to tall ones may not be a option with the procharger, won't clear on mine at all, but if it will you need the marine angled ones to give you room to get to the bolts as headers are close..

The tall one's just need a little love. You can see how close the blower sits to the rockers, it is definitely tight. The two piece Eickert ones fit no problem though. I don't know why half my pictures end up sideways now..

wanted to run a stud girdle on mine after talking to Bob M. even bought one...then looked at the valve cover deal...removing the bell would help a bunch but did not like the idea of nothing over the intake, I talked to articfriends and he made it work by cutting the bell up and using double or extra thick gaskets and factory covers...I have not tried yet...
