Default Needing advice or idea's

Repowering my 97 Baja 252. New mildly built 509 with CMI headers. No provisions on headers for shifter bracket or oil filter relocation bracket. Looking for ideas on where and how to mount somewhere different. Pictures would be awesome

Thanks

You can transom mount the shift bracket & I'd go with a front head mount remote filter

you could probably retrofit the pre-alpha shifter. mounts to top 2 bellhousing (flywheel cover) bolts. same distance for shift cable from there to drive.

mount both on transom...I would suggest changing all of the oiling system at this point, cooler, block adapter, filter mount, lines as the merc stuff is pretty much junk...lots of old post on this...

What he said.

You can make a bracket for the oil filter mount pretty easily.out heavy duty angle aluminum or steel and paint it.
