Default Aluminum diamond plate ?

MY VR1 has aluminum diamond plate in the engine compartment and it is looking a little dirty and dull. What is everyone using, equipment and product wise to clean and polish it?

Thanks,

Padraig

Look up Busch Shine Products. It is the stuff truckers use on fuel tanks. It works. I used it on uncoated aluminum wheels and they came out like chrome.

Bio Kleen metal polish or Wicked products metal polish is a trucker product that is great. A piece of carpet will polish around the diamond treads nicely, follow up with a cotton cloth to remove the "black" and then buff to a shine!

If it's anodized aluminum it will not polish to a shine once it's discolored.

Don't know if it is anodized but it is not discolored just dirty and not as much shine as I would like.

First wash with Lime away, then use a polish.

Simichrome is the best I've found. I little goes a long way.
