Default Night Owl Explorer Marine Night Vision Monocular

Anyone have any experience with The Night Owl Brand Explorer Marine or Odyssey night vision monocular? I would like to use it on the river at night for spotting ATON’s that may have come adrift, logs, Bass boats with their lights off etc. Would the range of a Generation 1 unit be sufficient at a low cruise speed?

Click on “waterproof Series” and look at NOCX3M. Cabelas has them for about 300 bucks.

i am not sure if the new ones are any better, but i had an older set and they were real sensitive to light and you had NO depth perception at all. i wasnt trying to use them for boating but they were a waste of money in my eyes. it would seem a handheld spotlight would be a way better investment.

my 2 cents Rob
