The Dart blocks have ability ro run oil restrictors, do you guys run them or no? I never have before in others no issues, what about restrictor pushrods? keeping more oil to lifters then rockers...

Looking for good solid answers not guessing....

I would not restrict the oil to the rockers

Gotcha so go with standard pushrods I think hole is .080?

Was brought up is discussion and never heard of it before..

i don,t advise oil restriction in a marine engine,keep in mind that the valve springs get cooled from the oil that comes up the pushrods,if you restrict the flow you also slow down the cooling effect.

If you are running solid rollers or solid flat tappet lifter you can restrict the oil , if it is hyd then no they need the oil to pump up. Depends on the rockers you are running , roller rockers dont require alot of oil but I would leave well enough alone since you are running HYD Roller cam you should not run them just use std pushrods JMO , I realize that a Drag Race Engine is a totally different animal but we have restricted all the oil from the top end of engines just lube the rockers after each pass , But as I said thats a different story just saying rollers dont need much oil.

Nobody is restricting oil in the block anymore. If you buy high end lifters. Solid or hydraulic they have high pressure pin oiling and tell you not to use oil restrictors. The pushrod restrictors is the new hot lick and by design keeps more oil down at the lifters.

OIl is not used just as a lubricant, but a coolant also.

Absolutely do not take any oiling away from your top end. There is a reason valve spring oilers are popular with the more hardcore engines.

A huge extreme here, and not really comparable at all, but did you know Nascar uses flooded valve covers.....lube/coolant/dampening. Pretty cool schit.
