Sold my SS to another OSO member last year.
Whatever happened to Triple Digits? He was building his own shortened Alpha drives and selling them on a website but can't remember the name of the site??? Are they still in business?
The engineering was impressive. The pricing was reasonable and spare parts available vs trying to find an old SS.

bravo shorties. 50 lbs heavier, same price, and you don't hafta sweat bullets every time you touch the throttles cuz you are worried about blowing museum piece drives apart...

I never sweat haha. If you ad up the cost of bravos and gimbles and water pumps and the prices of shortys ands its a lot more then a couple of bolt on a couple of the elusive alphas ss drives trust me I'm not hating on bravos at all I'd love to have some with shortys but I can't find anything around thats priced reasonable

I have one that is in amazing condition. It was bought brand new when they were still available, used for less than 30 hours and then removed from the boat and sat in the basement wrapped up for years. The mid section was not available at that time so a used mid was bought and all new internals were installed. Now the bad news I would want what I paid for it ($2500) ,I live up in Canada and I'm just in the process of putting my boat back together and undecided to use this drive or my regular alpha one. If anyone is interested then feel free to contact me. I have pictures but I'm new on this site and not quite sure how to upload them yet. I could possibly text the pictures to anyone
