You cannot put a PRICE on a piece of art, that holds 3 consecutive world championships, has dominated in every race competition.
You can put a VALUE... but not a price...
In general if someone has to ask, they are on a budget, and if they are on a budget, then this class of a boat and advanced technology is not for them.
Sun print, went out and designed a new boat and could not come close to this OL... even with the officials slapping the team with parity over and over... The last time that the owners of the SunPrint was competitive was over 6 years ago, before Doc/ Brian showed up with the Fountain SVL.
The boat, trailer, (without power) would cost in excessive of $300k to put together with no R & D and power. It clearly set the bar high.. and to high for Sunprint and the other new fountain in the field...
This boat, the pair of fountains, and the new sunprint... made everyone that owned a phantom to be an obsolete boat anchor

Performance Boats at LOTO has an 29SV with 600SCI Mercs listed for $160K, not sure of that's what you are looking for.
Check it out.

obviously this boat is one of a kind and with its pedigree hard to put a value on.....I am good friends with Doc and heck I don't know the price ...... I am sure if you call him and demonstrate a ernest interest he will be happy to share with you what he has in mind

The asking price was publicly listed when it was FS last year, I'm not sure why it should be considered classified info now...
Awesome boat with great history, I hope someone picks it up and continues the domination with it.

Ok...I have been kind of following SVL fora few years now because I like what I understand to be the concept behind it, so I guess you could call me a fan. Anyways I now find myself confused. I thought svl used hulls that fit back into production molds and sealed commercially avail power and drives. I thought that was to make it more even, affordable and eliminate major R&D, modifications etc. Somewhere I seem to have gotten my wires crossed with all this r&d talk...did the rules change or did I never understand them to begin with, somebody please educate me.

I don't think any SVL would fit back in the mold. They all have been massaged or in some cases flat out cut up. With like engines the r&d has always been in hull, drive and prop. I think that goes for all the spec classes.
