I had one but never installed it due to my engine blew and I sold the boat. I sold the control to another oso member and he really liked it. I really like the idea of having the ability to shift in and out of gear without getting into the throttle on say a 496 in a 25 footer.. Like when Your on the bow pulling an anchor and the wife is driving....... Control was very well made. The thing that I did not like about it was the trim buttons being in that orientation.. Just too use to merc stuff. Also it comes set up like you see it in that pic. The throttle is all the way back at idle.. Not straight up and down.. However I do think that can be changed by removing some screws and resetting it.

Just an FYI with the demise of Dana we set out to build a side mount control and fix a few if the idiosyncrasies associated with their unit such as actually fitting the mercury bolt pattern as a direct bolt in but best of we REDUCED the cost by a FEW HUNDRED bucks and put them on the shelf so you can actually get them when you want them. As of today we have 200 units available and the price is only $599 They are available in colors and the colors will be updated by weeks end. The handles are a little more ergonomic and the trip switches are superior. http://www.hardin-marine.com/p-74408...t-control.aspx

The ONLY thing I would prefer would be the trim up and down buttons to be located up and down instead of side to side like they are.
Nice set up btw.
