Default Who will finance a 2000 38' powerquest?

Got my boat sold but all the local credit unions and banks are telling my buyer nothing older than 2008. He has down payment and good credit, who can help us out? We're in Michigan if it matters.

I'm sure this has been asked but didn't find an exact answer. sorry for the repost.

I went to my local credit union and go pre-approved for a loan on a 1987 boat pending appraisal on survey. They will cover 110% of the loan with no down payment.

Same here, and I'm in Ohio as well. Got approved for a 1994 Powerquest 270 Laser...Full amount a year ago, no survey/appraisal needed, no problem at all.

Try DCU...one of the best CU's in all the land.

You might try Essex the person I dealt with was a total PITA I had to go to her manager to get things moving and sorted out but once past that it was ok and I can't complain about the very low rate. Essex work with Bank of the West which is who my loan ended up with but not sure you can get the same deal from them as Essex but you never know.

Credit Union. No problems at ours no matter what year. Rates depend on your credit score.

+100000.....My main CU I belong to is offering 4.49% up to 180 months and 60 day deferred payment with only a 680 Equifax ( that's who they pull, as do most CU's). Doesn't matter new or used or how old it is...as long as it's within their NADA value.

My point is, look around your area for CU's that may be offering comparable loans...SCREW the TBTF banks.

EDIT: I decided to search out ESSEX, ouch....http://essex-credit.pissedconsumer.com/
