The Sundance Marina location off the 17th street causeway (behind Southport Raw Bar) was rack storage and wet slips. It is empty now and soon to be razed to make way for a new 8 story Hampton Inn.
This was the same canal where Everglades Marina was until it was replaced by the Port Condo.

They were there for 25+ years, they bought the place in 2003 for 3.7mm then sold it in 2007 for 17mm. The place was a marina since the 50's and Sundance as multiple locations in S Florida including a huge replacement for this one though it is out west of I95 (20-30 minutes west by water).

No, but considering this is the closest marina to the ocean in Broward County it is notable. There are 2-3 more marina related businesses on the same street which will be gone at some point as well due to the land value if used for other uses.

Pretty soon this country is going to be one homogeneous string of corporate entities. No more personality, each town will consist of Home Depot, Sports Authority, TGIF's, Applebys, Michaels, Cheesecake Factories, Wallmarts, Staples, Hampton Inns, CVSs, et al. Stay home folks, same sh!t, different place.

I gave a up on one occasion, Cedar Point, Sandusky OH....we ate at the Fridays.......not much else in that town!
The BBQ place on the lake was good, just didn't want to eat there twice in one day!

Curious as to how property taxes are based in that area- on value of property based on current use or best use. Mom n Pop and service businesses on waterfront property with best use valuations have a tough battle.
