Default make ur best guess

One of the local guys i like down here has a 45ft 24 degree hull, he pulled two midship mounted diesels and is turning into a boat to take tourists out to our island.

45ft bench seats for 65 people! He thinks trip 250s is gonna get it up on plane... i told him no f in way! I told him he is gonna need to widen the lifting strakes a bunch and might need quads... what is ur best guess as to what its gonna take to get that pig up on plane.. should have an answer in a couple of months lol... rm

Thats the first thing i told him. But then i remembered reading some where that back in the day the guys hauling bales had wider lifting strakes to get the extra weight on plane... rm

I have never seen anything with quads down here 6 buck a gallon gas discourages that type of thing
